Reading is a journey through time and space, a journey to other minds and other eras. Books are timeless yet transient. They allow us to escape the here and now and exist in different worlds and spaces where we can meet new people, explore uncommon locations, experience love and loss, triumph over obstacles, and face impossible odds. Some books may have been written decades ago, but their contents will never change. It is that unchanging nature that makes books valuable to us.
