Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary. For those willing to invest time and energy in their learning, reading provides access to the wisdom of those who came before us, the insights of geniuses, and the creativity and imagination of people we admire.
Reading allows us to experience life through the eyes of others, gaining insight into what might otherwise be an unfamiliar situation. At its best, reading can inspire us to do great things in our lives—and change our world for the better.
In my own life, I have found that reading has helped me accomplish my personal and professional goals. It has also helped me stay motivated in trying times and has allowed me to learn new skills—which have been professionally and personally beneficial. In addition, I read to keep current, which is why I habitually read something relevant to my business strategy or a blog by someone who shares my interests.
