Books were my pass to personal freedom.

When I read the above quote, I understand it from two different standpoints.

 The first is that the more you know, the better your chance to succeed. Books are one of the best ways to gather knowledge. And when combined with a curious mind, books can open up new growth opportunities, leading to emancipation.

From a spiritual standpoint, using your mind to manifest what you want is all about imagination. And books help by giving us a playful way of imagining impossible things—once we have done that, our brains naturally will start thinking up ways in which those visions could become a reality.
